You can spend a relaxing day fishing for salmon, trout or pike on the lochs and rivers Farrar, Glass and Beauly, in Strathglass, available from April through to October.

 

The Hotel is ideal for fishers, as we are only two miles from the Farrar.

The Farrar, renowned for its fine trout and salmon fishing flows through two lochs, Loch a' Mhuillidh and Loch Benneacharan, both with very easy access - wonderful fishing lochs.

 

The River Beauly is one of Scotland's best salmon-fishing rivers.

Stag Stalking (Sept - Nov) and Hind stalking (Nov - Feb) can be arranged in advance on a number of local estates. Experienced local stalkers will accompany you on the rugged terrain throughout the day. We will be happy to put you in contact with local estates.

 

Golf is available at the challenging 9 hole course at Aigas, 4 miles away, beside the peaceful River Beauly. Club and trolley hire is available and visitors are most welcome. More details ...

 

The Loch Ness area is a fantastic place for walking, and caters for all abilities. Walkers will enjoy Glen Strathfarrar, the last wilderness, running up to the Monar Dam, through large areas of ancient Caledonian pine forest.

 

Glen Strathfarrar, like the neighbouring glens, is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast. The road into the Glen is private and access to motor vehicles is restricted. However, cyclists, and those on foot, will find the road relatively traffic free.
